This year I decided that I wanted to put out a newsletter, not just a collection of statistics. I wanted to get out info, be more informative to the students, staff, and community, and frankly, I've been meaning to do this for a few years now. I really wanted to use Smore, as that is probably the nicest format for newsletters, but quite frankly, it's expensive and I just don't have the budget for it. So, I looked towards other options. Then I started playing around with Wakelet. Wakelet is a great and powerful tool, which I'll make another blog post about later, only because I want to focus on the newsletter.
I am loving how this newsletter looks. Mainly because it has everything I wanted. It has important dates, the stats I always include, and new features I have wanted, such as highlighting new books, whatever monthly celebration it may be, tech tips and tricks for students and/or teachers, and really whatever else I can think of. It's the start, but definitely NOT the end! Check it out today!
